The only reason it came to the iPhone now was that it is commercially viable to make them that size with acceptable quality. They could probably make one now for $10,000. If you want a heads up on this kind of thing read the electronics industry magazines. You can predict what will be available in the next couple of years from what is coming on the market now for manufacturers.
