Just as Justin's essay on Moblogs was published I managed to finish a Python script to post emails containing attached photo's from my Au mobile phone to my weblog hosted at LiveJournal. I will be working on a connector for the Blogger API next to be able to post to Moveable Type and other blogs soon.

I saw this yesterday. Syncronicity! It looks very nice. We need to figure out a good style/format for these small pics. My moblog is running too...

As mentioned before, I set up something like this a few weeks ago for my girlfriend using Moveable Type, procmail and a perl xmlrpc script.

She sends mail to a certain address on my server, procmail processes it (!) and calls the xmlrpc script to create a new blog entry using the subject as title and message body as text. I actually have two mobile photo blogs set up, one is her public blog which she hasn't started using much yet, the other is a private one for she and i that captures each mail i send to her phone and each one she sends from her phone to me.

Anyhow, if anyone is interested in the perl code let me know. I think it will work with any XML-RPC Blogger API not just Moveable Type
