I moblogged Adam Greenfield on the Yamonote line as we pulled into Shibuya Station after the Tokyo Bloggers party after which he told me he coined the term, "moblog". I'd just met him for the first time at the party and didn't connect that it was him...
Posted by stuartcw at March 5, 2003 12:20 PMIn fact the term moblog has been there for quite a while now. I have even written a moblog software in the past.
Posted by: Aapo Laakkonen at March 5, 2003 06:05 PMToo bad I didn't bump into you at the party. I just recently moved to Tokyo and started my own blog. It's still very juvenile. I use it to vent my frustrations, and to keep tabs on what I'm thinking about. It's my braindump. I like how you have a personal blog and a technical one. Hope to get myself a moblog up soon. Keep up the great blogs and hope to catch you at the next event.

I started the tech one after I felt that I was posting too many random tech urls in my personal one. With Moveable type I am also able to generate separate RSS feeds per category but I haven't made this public yet.
Also, I am trying to add more Japanese specific content as there is little english information about much of the stuff we do.
Posted by: Stuart Woodward at March 13, 2003 03:23 PMI was just thinking about blogging about Japanese convenience stores .. or write about Japanese sites and their concepts, like about the webmoney.ne.jp site you introduced me to. It'll be really interesting once we start posting this info on Japanese tech stuff in English and they're easily mined, because of the RSS.

Justin did, too, at roughly the same time. It truly is one of those "it steam engines when it comes steam engine time" moments - a zeitgeist emerging.
